REGISTERED PHYSIOTHERAPIST | CLINIC OWNER

Lori Sampson, PT

Lori attended St. Francis Xavier University in Antigonish, Nova Scotia before graduating from the Dalhousie School of Physiotherapy in 2004. As a former Clinic Director for two of Canada’s leading physiotherapy corporations, she developed the personalized, patient-first treatment philosophy that now defines The Physio Studio.

With over 20 years of experience in private practice physiotherapy, Lori specializes in sports injury rehabilitation, post-surgical orthopedic recovery, and performance care for athletes of all levels — from youth and collegiate competitors (CIS, NCAA) to professional athletes in the CFL, NFL and NHL. She has worked extensively with and supported local clubs across Durham Region, including Ajax and Whitby Soccer, Durham and Oshawa baseball organizations, minor hockey associations, football clubs, volleyball and lacrosse programs.

While she has a strong passion for treating competitive athletes, Lori is equally committed to helping active adults — weekend warriors, golfers, CrossFit athletes and yogis — stay strong, mobile and injury-free.

Lori is also proud to serve local First Responders, including Military members, Firefighters, Police Officers and Paramedics. She understands the physical demands of their roles and has built long-standing trust with Fire, Police and EMS services across the region.

Her treatment approach combines active, exercise-based rehabilitation with individualized, one-on-one care. She collaborates closely with respected orthopedic surgeons throughout the GTA to restore optimal function following surgery and complex injuries.

Born and raised on Cape Breton Island, Lori brings warmth and energy to everything she does. As a busy mom of three boys, she’s often found on the sidelines at the football field, baseball diamond or soccer pitch — cheering just as passionately as she treats.
